Oregon’s Recreational Immunity Standard is

EXTREME AND OUT OF BALANCE

A 2023 court ruling effectively removed Recreational Immunity Protections from Oregon’s public and private landowners.  Trail heads are now closing, and Oregonians are losing access to their state’s most celebrated spaces.  Without reform, Oregon risks losing the tremendous societal and economic benefits that open access provides.

To level the playing field with our neighboring states and preserve recreational opportunities, Oregon needs to restore the same balanced standard that existed prior to July of 2023.

The Solution

The recreation community agrees with Oregon’s land trusts, cities, counties, park districts, and private land owners. Legislative action is needed to restore Oregon’s recreational immunity statute. Join us today and be ready to raise your voice when the Oregon legislative session begins in 2024.
